A crowd is not information

A share that suddenly trades ten times its normal volume is being talked about. That tells you people arrived; it tells you nothing about the business. Crowds leave faster than they gather, and the people who leave first are usually the ones who arrived first. If the only reason to buy is that it is moving, that is not a reason.
