How this page works, and what it does not do
- • A paper marked "we read this" publishes a feed, and the nightly run collects its headlines. Those headlines are stored as headlines — a line and a link, never the article — and shown on Market News.
- • A headline is only kept if it names a listed company or mentions the market, so the politics and sport these papers also print stay out.
- • A paper with no feed is not copied at all. Its card is a link, and clicking it takes you to them.
- • No logos are used. The coloured square is the paper's own first letter, so each one stays recognisable without borrowing anything.
- • Reading the news earlier than the price moves is the point, but a headline is not advice. What a paper reports and what a share does next are two different things.
